The pearly, spiraling shell of the cephalopod nautilus has entranced and intrigued humans for centuries, and we are still learning much about this strange little oceanic creature. In the same family as octopuses, squids, and other tentacled sea creatures, the nautilus is tiny and was thought to be very fragile and not very intelligent until recently. Still quite a mystery, this curious little animal gives the naturalist much to study. Just like our little crustacean friend, this soft subtle blush skein might look simple and fragile at first glance; but look closer! Ballerina slipper pink flirts with soft pearly champagne and silvery blush shades for a color that shifts mysteriously. Just like the shy nautilus, you might miss the beauty if you don't look closely, but once you do, you won't want to look away!

I use professional quality acid dyes to ensure vivid colors that will last. No two skeins are identical: if you need more than one skein for your project, be sure to alternate rows to ensure variegation. Please note that each skein is a unique work of art and may not exactly match the photos, but will be very close. I may reskein your yarn before shipping to avoid tangles if necessary.

Want your skein shipped ready to knit? Click here to get it wound into a center pull cake! Remember to add one cake winding per skein you want caked!
