Not too much skin showing please! Even married couples sleep in separate beds, even bad guys don't swear, and every joke must be as clean as a freshly mopped floor...welcome to the Hollywood Production Code! In the 1930s, the movie industry was guided by a morality police made up of public officials, the Catholic church, and various groups concerned with protecting the moral fiber of the country, and hence the production code was enforced. With such stringent measures in place, movie producers had to get creative and clever at sneaking in veiled references and subtle nuances; an art that has been lost now that no such strict rules exist. Just like those early jokes, this skein might seem like just a simple light blue color; but look closer! Subtle tones of wedgewood china, sky blue, gray, and sea green blend so perfectly as to be almost imperceptible, creating a rich, dimensional blue, just perfect for every era.

I use professional quality acid dyes to ensure vivid colors that will last. No two skeins are identical: if you need more than one skein for your project, be sure to alternate rows to ensure variegation. Please note that each skein is a unique work of art and may not exactly match the photos, but will be very close. I may reskein your yarn before shipping to avoid tangles if necessary.

Want your skein shipped ready to knit? Click here to get it wound into a center pull cake! Remember to add one cake winding per skein you want caked!
