Edmund Bertram is one of the less flashy heroes of Jane Austen, and therefore, is often overlooked. But his steadiness, strong sense of duty and character make him one of the most noble. His main fault is a tendency to only see the world through his perspective, assuming others have the same values and perspectives he does: which leads him into missing Fanny's obvious attraction to him and also seeing more virtue in the flighty Mary Crawford than is really there. However, he gets it right in the end and his undying care for Fanny throughout the whole book redeems much. This color honors Edmund's "true blue" character with rich sapphire, sturdy shades of chocolate, and a touch of soft lavender, broken by a light smattering of blood red speckles.
