Touring Ireland I was never tired of the beautiful old castles scattered all around the country, with their moss covered walls. Inspired by Trim Castle (where Braveheart was filmed) and several other ruins, this colorway reminds me of the moss, grass, and flowers growing out of cracks in the ancient stones. A neutral gray tonal background is broken by bursts of green speckles in a skein that gives a unique twist to a classic.
The Dryad Fingering is elegant and soft, yet never heavy. 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon makes this yarn an affordable luxury that's perfect for sweaters, socks, accessories, and shawls! You'll love the cushiness of this charming yarn. Hand wash only in cold water and lay flat to dry.
I use professional quality acid dyes to ensure vivid colors that will last. No two skeins are identical: if you need more than one skein for your project, be sure to alternate rows to ensure variegation. Please note that each skein is a unique work of art and may not exactly match the photos, but will be very close. I may reskein your yarn before shipping to avoid tangles if necessary.
