Gilded Lily of Maxim's-Merino/Bamboo/Tussah Roving-Ready to Ship
As you walk through the door, you see her, sitting on a cushion of velvet in the gas lighting. Hair piled high with curling tendrils dripping free, waist cinched tight with an expensive corset, opera length gloves covering each dainty hand, she is vivacious, beautiful, mysterious, and alluring. The darling of the Belle Epoque era, she is as beautiful as a painting by Toulouse-Lautrec, and as desirable as the luxurious jewels around her neck. She's not the most chaste of women...but she's the most chased here at the hot spot of Paris, Maxim's.
Gilded Lily at Maxim's was an exclusive colorway designed for my Belle Epoque yarn club in July 2017, and I couldn't resist dyeing up a single braid in this glorious silky fiber! Rich patinated gold glows and contrasts with decadent scarlet, velvety burgundy, inky black, and silvery gray.
This sleek, sexy roving blends super cushy merino with springy bamboo and luxurious tussah silk for a spinning fiber that's high on shine and incredible to work with! Slipping through your fingers with lightness and strength, it creates beautiful, unique works of art on your spindle or wheel! Mixing 50% merino with 25% bamboo and 25% tussah silk, this roving is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skins!
Each listing is for one 4 oz. braid. I use professional quality acid dyes to ensure vivid colors that will last. No two braids are identical, but I do my best to ensure they are as close as possible. Please note that each braid is a unique work of art and may not exactly match the photos, but will be very close.
