The elegance, art, and decadence of the Belle Epoque period is coming to you interpreted as scrumptious, squishy yarn! The Belle Epoque era from 1871-1914 enjoyed a newfound optimism, economic prosperity, scientific and cultural innovations and discoveries, and a great period of artistic expression. The arts flourished and were characterized by Impressionists such as Monet, Matisse, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, and Gaugin. The wealth enjoyed by the middle and upper classes contributed to the rise of new department stores, restaurants, and cabarets like Maxim's and the Moulin Rouge. Art Nouveau was popular during this time and Paris was the heart of the fashionable world.

This skein was part of my exclusive Belle Epoque yarn club. Deep navy blue melts into dark chocolate brown, elegant cranberry, rich gold, and soft green ending with a splash of bright white for emphasis. Short color runs resist striping and make for a random, exciting flow of color.

The Dryad Fingering is elegant and soft, yet never heavy. 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon makes this yarn an affordable luxury that's perfect for sweaters, socks, accessories, and shawls! You'll love the cushiness of this charming yarn. Hand wash only in cold water and lay flat to dry.

I use professional quality acid dyes to ensure vivid colors that will last. No two skeins are identical: if you need more than one skein for your project, be sure to alternate rows to ensure variegation. Please note that each skein is a unique work of art and may not exactly match the photos, but will be very close. I may reskein your yarn before shipping to avoid tangles if necessary.
